What equipment do I need to Brew Beer?
Brewery safety clothing and cleaning supplies
According to the Brewers Association, in 2018 there were over 7,300 craft breweries. That number has more than doubled since 2013. The rise in craft breweries, brewpubs and microbrews is due to the fact that people love beer and have a passion for beef!
Brewery Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
We know that your brewery needs the best and most cost efficient supplies to stay up and running. One of our most popular “Brewing gloves” is our 28-mil blue nitrile over green latex 12” Length flock lined gloves. These gloves are a staple in commercial breweries, as they protect against splash, burns, and handling of chemical/sanitary equipment. This glove combines the puncture and chemical resistant of nitrile gloves with the performance of latex gloves. Also, these gloves have a raised textured diamond grip which helps hold onto supplies while you’re making your favorite brew.
A popular glove material for breweries are nitrile. Not all nitrile gloves are the same, varying in texture and strength. Brewery gloves we recommend are 6-mil thick so they won’t rip or tear when caught on any machines or parts. These gloves are available in our SGDBLACKN6M line or our SGD6016B line. The main difference between these gloves is the grips on the SGD6016B provide extra texture when working with liquids.
Besides your hands, your eyes must be protected during the brew making process. Dealing with hot water or sanitation chemicals your eyes may get splashed with unwanted substances. We recommend glasses that are anti-fog, so you always have a clear view of what you are doing. Our STDM1410PF glasses are great and comfortable for periods of long wear. The lightest pair of glasses we offer is the IA1 Series (STIA110AF). Finally, if you need to wear prescription glasses but yet require safety glasses, we have 2 options available. You can wear our 24 Series Goggle or the Law Over the Glass Safety Glasses (STOG110AF).
Brewery Cleaning Products
Other popular items found in breweries is our line of DRC Wipes. DRC Wipes are super strong and absorbent and are great for cleaning up any leaks, drips or spills. They are stronger than standard paper towels and leave a lot less lint. Plus, they come in convenient on the go packaging, so you can take them with you to different pumps and tanks.
